What happens after you pay
Four stages. You'll know what we owe you and what we need from you at each one.
The four stages
Brief
You pay on Stripe, land on a short form, and tell us about the business. We read it and email you a start date.
You sendthe brief form. You geta confirmation email and a start date.Concepts
We design. For a logo that means three concepts. For a website it means the layout of the key pages.
We neednothing until they arrive. You getthe first concepts, by email, with a short note on the thinking.Rounds
You pick one direction and send one consolidated list of changes. We apply them. Logo design and brand kit orders include 2 rounds. Websites and landing pages include 1 consolidated round per phase, design and then build. Smaller products list their own, usually 1.
We needone message with all your changes, not a trickle. You getthe revised work after each round.Handover
Final files, a short list of fonts and licenses, and, for websites, the platform accounts registered to you.
We needyour final approval. You getthe files and a handover note.
When the clock runs
Timelines on each product are counted in business days from the day we get your brief. They stop while we wait for you, whether that's feedback, files or a login. When you reply, they start again. We'll tell you when it pauses.
Usual timelines are on each product page. They're estimates, not promises about a particular date.
What counts as a revision round
A revision round is one consolidated set of changes you send us in a single message or document, applied to the concept you chose. It covers adjustments to color, spacing, wording, type and layout within the agreed scope. It does not cover starting over with a new direction, adding new deliverables or pages, or changes after final approval. Those are quoted separately, or available as an Extra revision round ($199).
An example
"Make the green darker, move the logo left, change the tagline to 'Open Saturdays', and use the thinner font for the address." That is one message, one concept, a handful of adjustments.
"Actually, can we try something totally different, maybe with an animal?" That's a new direction. Or "Can you also do a letterhead?" That's a new deliverable. Both are quoted separately.
If you change your mind
The short version is in the table. The full text, including how refunds are paid, is on the refunds page.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before we start | Full refund. "Start" means the day you send your brief, or 5 business days after payment if you haven't, whichever is first. |
| Started, no concepts sent yet | We keep 25% of the item price for work done and refund the rest. |
| After first concepts are delivered | Non-refundable, because the main design work is done. We'll still fix errors on our side. |
| If we can't deliver what you ordered | Refund for the part we didn't deliver. |
Refunds go to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Email office@thedesignerrose.com.

When the work is approved, you get the final files in the formats listed on the product page, plus a handover note that lists every font, stock image and plugin we used and where its license sits. For websites, the Squarespace or WordPress account is yours.
If you'd rather we left your project out of the portfolio, say so in the brief form. There's a checkbox. Tell us before we start.
When your order is paid in full, we assign to you the copyright in the final approved designs we create for you. Fonts, stock images and plugins we use are licensed separately under their own terms, and we'll list them in your handover. Unused concepts and our own pre-existing tools stay ours. We may show finished work in our portfolio unless you tell us before we start. We don't guarantee that a logo or name can be trademarked or is free of conflicts with others.
A note on AI
We don't use generative AI to make your final logo or brand marks.
