Privacy policy

Short version: we collect what we need to do your project and to take payment. We don't sell it and we don't use it for ads.
What we collect
- Contact form: name, email, message.
- Cart: the products and quantities you choose, kept in your browser’s localStorage so the cart survives a page reload. This is stored only on your device and isn’t a tracking cookie.
- Checkout: you pay on Stripe’s secure page. Stripe collects your payment and billing details. We receive the buyer name, email, billing address, order contents and amount. We receive but do not store card numbers.
- Project brief: the answers and links you send after payment, and your files only if you send links.
- Order records: order number, items, totals, date.
- Email: messages you send us and the order and brief emails we send you.
Why
To reply to you, take and record payment, calculate tax, do the work you ordered, and keep records we need for accounting and tax.
Who gets it
Stripe (payment processing and tax calculation). Our email provider. Our web host. We store form submissions and order records on our server, outside the public web folder. We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records for seven years. Contact messages for two years. Project briefs for the length of the project and a reasonable time after, so we can answer questions about the work.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing office@thedesignerrose.com. We’ll tell you if we need to keep something for tax or legal reasons.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses only technical storage, the cart in localStorage and a token that ties your brief to your order. No analytics or advertising tags. If we add them later, we’ll update this page.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
If something goes wrong
If personal information we hold is exposed, we’ll tell the people affected as the law requires.
